Meet Kanika

Kanika Feaster is taking the world by storm with her new talk show, The Talk Lounge.

A true entertainer and performer, Kanika has been singing, dancing, modeling, acting and public speaking since a little girl. Kanika started her media career by covering interviews with local politicians for media company Bmore News. The experience gained as co-host of popular talk radio show, Empower Hour on WOLB 1010 AM allowed her to make the transition to TV. As host of popular music show Urbanmusic, Kanika gained a large viewing audience on Comcast and on TV in 50 European countries. Currently airing every Saturday on Fox 45 and on The Dish Network across the US, Kanika hopes to be the next successful television talk show host from Baltimore.


Kanika is a member of New Voices, a new speakers bureau founded by BET journalist Jeff Johnson. Kanika dedicates her time off air working in the Fine Arts Ministry at New Psalmist Baptist Church and with non-profit organization Digit All systems; which helps communities bridge the digital divide. In addition to being talent on TV, Kanika has a passion for singing and acting. Starring in musicals such as Sankofa, which premiered in Philadelphia and toured on the east coast, Kanika has appeared in HBO's The Wire and movie Sock It to Me, written by author, Zane. Kanika has performed at New York City's The Apollo Theatre and has opened for National recording artists Kevin Michael, Kem, and Kindred the Family Soul. She has appeared in concert with artists such as Frankie Beverly and Maze, Fantasia, Mario and Chuck Brown to name a few. Kanika graduated with a BS degree in Kinesiology from Temple University.

The New Voices Speakers Bureau specializes in motivational/inspirational messages for high schools, colleges, conferences and civic organizations. It's designed to promote and present new voices with innovative message to multiple markets in the professional speaking industry.

The bureau was founded by Jeff Johnson, host and journalist for Black Entertainment Television (BET) and local talk show host Quinn Conyers.

Kanika Feaster Empowers Young Girls through the Arts!

Kanika Feaster can be viewed as a triple threat. She can sing, dance and speak! As a graduate of Temple University, Kanika developed her skills and turned her passion into an artistic experience. Currently Kanika is traveling the U.S., with an edu-tainment story that is inspiring girls and young women from middle school through college. Her dancing, singing and speaking workshops keep her audience entertained and informed about the challenges of being a young entrepreneur and various careers in arts, entertainment and media. Kanika loves sharing the message of empowerment through education with the community. She works with Digit All Systems, giving away free computers to schools in need, and teaching work force development skills to at-risk youth. In addition to being a TV personality on Fox 45 Baltimore, Kanika produces and hosts her own talk show, the Talk Lounge, which airs on TV in MD, DC, VA, and across the US on The Dish Network.
